Beat The Heat With A Cold Smoothie

  • 2 cups/handfuls of spinach

  • 1 tsp fresh ginger
  • 2 cups ice
  • 2 cups water
  • *add a splash of lemon for a tangier smoothie or a sprinkle of stevia for a sweeter flavor.

When using a high-powered blender, like a Vitamix or Ninja, you can toss all of the ingredients in whole. If you are using a normal blender or you aren’t sure about its power, remove the apple core and any hard stalk pieces of the kale before blending. Mix on high until combined. Enjoy!

This recipe makes about 4 servings that will stay good for 2-3 days in the refrigerator. If you have any single serving glass bottles leftover from kombucha or ice tea, these make convenient storage vessels for an on-the-go snack.
